Are you passionate about esports? Do you dream of training at a high level, surrounded by like-minded individuals and seasoned coaches? Our one-year Esports program offers a comprehensive bootcamp designed to prepare you for the world of competitive gaming. At AhlmanEdu, you’ll develop your skills in an environment crafted for dedicated esports players.

Esports Training Program Overview

Our Esports program provides a unique opportunity to train in a structured, supportive setting with experienced coaches who have backgrounds as professional players, team coaches, and international analysts. Since 2016, Ahlman has led the way in Finnish esports education with the country’s most comprehensive program, in partnership with ENCE Academy.

  • Duration: One academic year
  • Target Audience: Gamers aiming to develop as esports professionals
  • Methodology: Coaching sessions, strategic workshops, practice matches, and personal mentoring
  • Location: AhlmanEdu Campus, Tampere, Finland
  • Facilities: Our practice area is open 24/7, featuring high-speed internet, adjustable desks, ergonomic gaming chairs, and more.

We offer two separate application periods for the esports courses beginning in August 2026. The primary spring application period is from February 1 – May 17, 2026. The summer application period is from June 1 – July 19, 2026.

Student selection is based on a scoring system, which takes into account the application and pre-assignments. We do not publish student’s scores.

Applicants in the spring application round will be notified of the admission results on 25 May 2026. The study place must be accepted no later than 8 June 2026.

Applicants in the summer application round will be notified of the admission results on 22 July 2026. The study place must be accepted no later than 31 July 2026.

Studies begin on August 10, 2026.

Academic Year 2026-2027:

  • Fall Semester: Begins on August 10, 2026, and ends on December 18, 2026.
  • Spring Semester: Begins on January 11, 2027, and ends on May 28, 2027.

The fall semester is 18 weeks long, and the spring semester is 19 weeks, totaling 37 weeks for the academic year.

  • Fall Break: Week 42 (mid-October)
  • Winter Break: Week 9 (early March)

Average Study Costs per Week (Mon-Fri):

  • Tuition: €120/week (includes lunch)
  • Tuition + Accommodation: €190/week (includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
    Accommodation is provided in a shared double room from Monday to Sunday.

As a student, you can check through your home country whether you are eligible for student financial aid. In some cases, it is also possible to receive Finnish student financial aid.

Materials Fee

  • The Esports program materials fee is €120 per academic year.
